Summary

Voidwalker in space camouflage

Voidwalkers are a midround antagonist that can rarely spawn near space stations. They're ambush predators, excelling in picking their targets. They move freely through space and unelectrified windows, but are slowed in gravity.

Voidwalkers can attack people near space by phasing through windows, taking crewpeople down, and dragging them back into space.

Basic Abilities

Combat: You have 150hp, and 33% burn armor. Your left click does a big chunk of oxygen damage. Your right click does a small amount of brute.

Space Camo: Whenever you're in space, you're invisible and can move freely. People might suspect your presence though, and sweep for you! If you hit something or are hit, you will be revealed for a bit.

Void Physiology: Whenever you're in space, you regenerate health. You are slower when within gravity however. You will also quickly perish should you enter planetary gravity.

Glass Passer: You can freely move through glass and grilles, as long as they're not shocked. This leaves windows passable however, and your victims might either escape back inside, or someone might decide to follow you into space.

Unsettle: An active ability that stuns, slows and slurs an opponent, but temporarily reveals you. Use on a target while remaining within their view for 6 seconds to active it.

Wall Conversion: Right-clicking a "soft" wall (non-reinforced iron or weaker) with your Void Eater will begin converting it, as well as adjacent walls, into "void windows" which you can walk through freely.

Cosmic Charge: Standard charge ability, but only space is a valid target. Great for escapes, but also works for

Space Dive: Bump into a wall while standing in space to move under the station. From here, you can watch for potential victims and reach isolated sections of space. You start with 2 charges, and can gain more through succesful kidnaps.

The Vomitwalker: You can dive in and out of nebula vomit, as well as kidnap people into it! Diving into it removes the vomit though, so plan ahead and make sure you don't end up with your pants down in the middle of the station!

Kidnapping

Whenever someone is in space and unconscious, you can kidnap them! They'll be sent into the wispy void, where after a while they'll be sent back but cursed.

Voided crewmembers. Spooky!

The Voided

Victims of a Voidwalker kidnapping come back with the Voided brain trauma. They'll be fragile and pacified, and restricted from entering space.

Combat: Should they be in the way, a single hit will force them to sleep for 30 seconds. You cannot kidnap them twice, unless they get cured.

Curing: The Voided trauma can be cured with a lobotomy or by dying in planetary gravity.

Nebula vomit: The voided will intermittently spew some of the voids essence, leaving portals that the voidwalker can use.

How do you kill the ultimate spaceman?

While a dominant force when picking on unsuspecting crew, this is also when they're most vulnerable. Whenever they enter the station they'll be slowed and have no simple ways to extract themselves. Lasers are good for punishing them through windows, but bullets deal a lot more damage to them!

They also cannot pass through shocked windows. Consider electrifying windows or blocking windows off completely to keep them out. You might even be able to set traps by using shutters or having a friend hide nearby while you roleplay the perfect snack.

Security could also put on some modsuits and jetpacks and patrol space. If you can spot them, try getting an attack in to reveal them and try to laser them down, but be careful, for they are on their absolutely strongest when in space. Consider bringing a friend so they can't use their Unsettle ability on you as effectively.

The beast is dead!

Congratulations! You and your fellow spacemen have slain the Voidwalker. On death, they will shatter into glass and a Cosmic Skull. Staring into the skull will give you a variant of the Voided trauma!

Stable Voided: You are still fragile to brute and will die when you enter planetary gravity, but you gain complete space immunity and the ability to pass through glass like the Voidwalker does.
